Setup

Key setup

We're currently simulating a PAA setup for Matter compliance. Follow steps in create keys to create the keys you'll need to ship with the broker for device authentication.

Manual Full Deployment

We typically only need to do this once or if are bringing up a complete new setup after wiping it. However, these will also update the standing infrastructure. We automate our deployment and environment management using tofu, terragrunt, and bash scripts with manual setup only where api support doesn't exist (e.g. Cloudflare bulk redirects).

To make scripts executable:

chmod +x scripts/*

To handle deploying the cluster and supporting docs infrastructure:

ENV=dev
cp tofu/example.tfvars tofu/$ENV.tfvars

Populate the values.

You typically only do this the first time as the cluster and app infrastructure should have different release cycles:

./scripts/deploy/deploy-all.sh $ENV

Typically, you're doing 1 of the 3 steps.

./scripts/deploy/00-deploy-coap-broker-instrastructure.sh $ENV
./scripts/deploy/01-upload-kubeconfig-as-ghsecret.sh $ENV
./scripts/deploy/02-deploy-coap-broker-charts.sh $ENV

Refer to the contents of these scripts to break it down further or work directly with terragrunt, helm, or kubectl.
